Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama inaugurated the new PD Pasar Jaya office, on Jl Cikini Raya, Menteng, Central Jakarta. It is hoped, they could improve and help traders in Jakarta.

"I hope the new office and direction can make a new Jakarta. Hence, I officially opened this office," he stated, Wednesday (8/24).

He admitted he was satisfy with PD Pasar Jaya performance that is able to implement vision and mission of Jakarta Provincial Government.

"I am pleased this morning because the direction that has been replaced can understand what we want," he expressed.

According to Basuki, all traditional markets in Jakarta should become an incubator for traders. Previously stalls in the market priced at an expensive value. To have a stall, every trader is required to pay for 20 years in advance.

"Before the trader cannot compete with modern market. Because it's not fair. Traders told to pay kiosk for 20 years at the beginning. So stalls precisely controlled by businessmen," he disclosed.
